Email marketing can feel like a very daunting task. But we PROMISE – as you learn how to use it, it is WELL worth the investment of time and money.

You don’t own your social media following.
There is no algorithm. You have complete control. It is an actual asset for your company.
BETTER CONVERSION RATES
The return on investment for the time you spend on email is exponentially higher.
On average (and it varies slightly from industry to industry), engagement rates from email marketing is 15-20%. On social media, sadly, engagement rates hover between .5% – 2%.
Say you have 10,000 followers on social media. That means, on average, about 1% of your followers will see what you’re actually posting.
Now, say you have 10,000 people on your email list. That means, at just a 15% conversion rate, 1,500 of your subscribers will likely see what your sending.
That return on investment alone is worth it to reconsider spending more time on email marketing!
EMAIL MARKETING IS PRIME FOR SELLING
When people are on social media, their main goal (at least according to Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram), is to be ENTERTAINED.
People are MUCH more conditioned to being sold to in an email. Their mindset isn’t “I want to be entertained” when they open their inbox – they EXPECT to be sold to (that’s kind of what they know they’re getting into when they’re signing up for a company’s email list!).
SOCIAL MEDIA AND EMAIL MARKETING WORK TOGETHER
We’re not saying you shouldn’t be on social media (I mean, it’s 2022 – you ABSOLUTELY should be on at least one platform). BUT, what we are saying is that if your social content is at the very top of your concerns list, it should maybe go down a few notches and email marketing should go UP a few.
Social media is GREAT for creating a community and growing your brand presence – and you should always use it to lead people BACK to your email list!
